A Landscape Connected by Water
Shizuoka City is a rare place where mountains, rivers, and sea belong to a single, continuous landscape. To the north rise the deep forests leading toward the Southern Alps, while the Abe and Warashina Rivers carry clear mountain water through the valleys, across the city, and eventually into Suruga Bay.
